Join us for an evening of Peranakan culture and cuisine served as a banana leaf buffet. The set sharing menu will be accompanied by the story of the Ooi Klan and their journey from Hainan to Penang Malaysia.
You will also have the opportunity to learn more about besea.n, ESEA Heritage Month and there will be a showcase of ESEA made products to browse during the evening at the ESEA Makers.

Little Yellow Rice Co alongside Gwei.lo presents CONGEE CLUB
Congee club is a place to meet, come together as a community and celebrate a simple dish rich is comfort.
Known by many different names across east and south-east Asia and beyond this event is a celebration of all our differences united as one when coming together in our appreciation of a single bowl of simple rice.
We’ll be looking to showcase the vast selection of toppings added to congee, from family favourites to unique and usual toppings.
The first rule of Congee Club is ‘Don’t judge anyone else’s toppings’
